Wow. What a special experience to share with friends from all over the country! For year two of their curated festival at Buena Vista's Meadow Creek, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard continued to reinvent themselves, as they are wont to do. Across their nine hours performing on the mainstage, the energetic Aussies and their eurorack modular synth table Nathan reinterpreted material from every corner of their catalog. Electronic songs from The Silver Cord spread their wings as devastating thrash-metal anthems, while tracks from their psych-rock, acoustic, metal, and jamband eras popped off on Nathan for epic rave versions.

They also dropped their new album, Alien Metal. This one is all electronic, and they really send it to some dark and heavy territory unlike anything we have heard from them yet. It's been insane to watch them grow as electronic music producers and performers in the last few years. Their appetite for exploring such a variety of subgenres with an open mind is just incredible and inspirational to behold as a listener.

Speaking of variety, the support was absolutely stacked this year! Polka-dot adorned microtonal superstars Angine de Poitrine graced us with only their 4th ever US appearance and delivered an hour of joyfully bizarre live-looping and math rock. I've never seen so many people get dressed up to see a band for their first time!

Denver locals Blood Incantation got weird and spacy at their Friday "Otherworldly" late-night and then absolutely ripped our faces off on the main stage Saturday with hardcore technical death metal from their superb album Absolute Everywhere. This mosh pit was so crazy, I heard about a guy who broke his leg!

I'm producing my own prints of these images and more on metallic photo paper. I think the lights look even better in print than on screen! I'm currently setup for a variety of sizes between 4x6 and 13x19, so please reach out if you see something you like.
