Field of Vision was the realization of a long held dream: attending and photographing my favorite band's curated festival. The weirdo swarm converged on Buena Vista, CO for a weekend of music beneath the Collegiate Peaks. The venue, Meadow Creek, remains just as idyllic as my last time there at Billy Strings' Renewal in 2021, flush with shady swimming holes and framed by jaw-dropping views of 14ers. My expectations for FOV were sky-high, but the band's performances and the overall experience still managed to exceed them at every turn.

My personal highlight was being front and center on Night 1 when Nathan, the band's modular synth table, was wheeled onstage. For the next 45 minutes, the band leaned into their experimental side, reworking older material before spilling into improv-heavy bangers from 2023's The Silver Cord.

My photo album from the weekend is presented below in chronological order. These images are dedicated to the memory of Matt Gawiak, a fellow KGLW fan who tragically passed away on Night 1 during "Oddlife." If you feel comfortable, please consider making a contribution to his family's GoFundMe.
